A | Veteran actor Dharmendra sadly passed away at the age of 89 after battling an age-related illness. He breathed his last at his residence. He was admitted to Breach Candy hospital earlier this month due to respiratory complications. While he was admitted to the hospital from October 31, 2025, he was later discharged and kept under observation at home. The actor passed away today, but his family's official statement is yet to arrive.

His colleagues from Bollywood, including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and more paid their last respects earlier in the afternoon. They visited the crematorium and supported the Deol family through the difficult time. Many celebrities, including Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Sushmita Sen and more shared heartfelt tributes for the Sholay star. Now, Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt have shared their condolences on social media as well.Taking to Instagram, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, "Rest in Peace Dharam ji. You were nothing short of a father figure to me… thank u for showering me with blessings and love the way you did. An inconsolable and irreplaceable loss to not just his family, but to cinema and film lovers world over. You are immortal… and your soul will live through your films and your beautiful family forever. Love you always." Alongside the note, SRK shared a heartfelt click where the veteran actor is embracing him in a side hug.Alia Bhatt shared a screengrab from her movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, where she is seen chatting with Dharmendra. Alia penned, "A legend who lit up every frame... and every heart. You will be missed, Dharam ji [white heart emoticon]."
Dharmendra's family members, including Hema Malini, Esha Deol, grandsons Rajveer Deol and Karan Deol were also present at the crematorium.
